Penny battery

1.What is a penny battery?

Okay, a penny battery is composed of copper and zinc with elector light in between, to produce electricity.

2.What components did you use?

We used
1. Pennies.
2. Zinc coded washers.
3. elector light (Soy Sauce, Vinegar).
4. cardboard or paper .

3. How does a penny battery work?

This schematics explains how the penny battery works.

4.What can the penny battery power up?

Penny batteries act like regular batteries but last's less, i made my own little fan to power up but penny batteries can even a phone if it gets enough voltage.

5. How did the fan held the penny battery?

So in the work shop, there was some left over cable holder, it was made from plastic, and it had a circular hole in the middle that fitted my pennies and the washers

6. How many pennies did it take to power up the fan?

So the fan needed at least 3 volts to power up, so i used up to 5-7 pennies to achieve that amount of voltage.

7. how did the cables held with the switch?

So to hold the cables with the switch, we had to solder the cables with the end of the switch

8. How strong was the cable after soldering it?

The cables held pretty strong, it was held so hard that a human pull couldn't take it apart.

9.how did the cables held to the battery holder?
I used hot glue to hold the cables to the battery holder, and made one cable go form the bottom and the other from the top so that it connects with no interference with the other cable.

10. how did the project look at the end?
